Big Leaf Maple & Douglas Fir Trimming
Big Leaf Maple, Douglas Fir pruning, Edmonds, WA

On February 15th, David Marrs Trees was out at a homeowner’s property in Edmonds, WA for Arcana Garden Design doing some tree pruning work to allow for more sunlight access to the beautiful gardens there. The crew limbed up a Big Leaf Maple as well as a row of Douglas Fir trees. David Marrs Trees LLC was out all day at the property with a crew of 2. Here is what the customer had to say about the job:

David and his team did a wonderful job! They were very fast and professional. David expressed in-depth knowledge and gave useful advice that was very helpful. They thinned out and limbed up maybe 10 trees”

Here’s David in the middle of the job doing some of the pruning work on a Fir tree.

If you’ve ever wondered about whether or not you should prune your tree, check out this article here from Angie’s List about why pruning is important. In this case, the customer was looking for more sunlight to reach the plants, flowers, herbs, and other flora in their garden. Not only did this job accomplish that goal, but it cleaned up the appearance for the trees. Large, mature Douglas Fir trees will grow lots of branches that become thick with foliage which can block light for other, smaller, plants so its important to keep those branches tame if you are looking to have healthy plants below.
